ABOUT THE PIECE
2025 was my first year watching NFR (National Finals Rodeo), and I was captivated by Patricia Lee and her stallion, Adios Pantalones. They were such an incredible team that they made it to NFR in their first year of rodeoing, finished second in the world, and Adios became the all-time winningest barrel stallion in history.
After winning a round, Tricia was quoted in an interview saying, “God doesn’t have a budget, so ask for everything.” You can see bits of her quote in the background of my painting, which was inspired by the iconic cowboy hat Tricia wears during her runs.
